How to Properly Exfoliate and Clean a Bath Sponge

The bath sponge is a great personal care product. I love using my bath sponge on my body and getting the results that I want. The main thing that people do not like about this product is the scent. It does have a very strong scent but you can cover this up by either applying a fragrance to it or by spraying it with a perfume. This way you get to enjoy the scent of your bath sponge without the overpowering scent.

Steps to Properly Exfoliate and Clean a Bath Sponge: fill the sink or tub with at least one gallon of warm water. Add a half a cup each of shampoo and soap for both natural and synthetic sponges. Place the bath sponge into the mix. Let it soak for at least five minutes. Rinse thoroughly with hot water, then squeeze out as much of the water as you can.

The next step of proper and gentle exfoliation is to gently scrub the hanging hairs off the body. You do this by moving in a circular motion towards the areas where you want the hairs to be removed. Try using a combination of the ingredients from the first step. A combination of the products from the second step will work even better. If you are using a shower sponge, after the rinse clean, apply a dab of rubbing alcohol to the back of the sponge. This will help the body scrub along and help the rest of the ingredients along for a complete and thorough cleaning process.
