teng-jie is a local name for the Bath Sponges that many people call the Magic Eraser. teng-jie goes by several names including African Bath Sponge, Shower Sponge, Lava Sponge, and body wash to name but a few. It's a great super-absorbent, super-strong, exfoliating bath sponge that has been being use in west Africa for centuries.
